Mrs. Burns is so sweet
I've been having an artist's block with my concentration, so bad that I was too close to dropping AP studio
So setting up self-portraits, she came up to me and we talked
"let's talk about your work" and I let it all out of work AP was, how AP art was depressing me amount of work. All throughout she listened, and understood completely and then took me into her office and showed me some abstract work and then went into the closet
pulled three big bottles of paint out.
"Forget about AP. Forget about everything because your little art spirit's telling me that you're suffering. Take this paint and throw it around? Do you have big enough canvas, because get any materials you need from the closet to loosen you up. I see this happen all the time with my kids, just forget about connecting all your concentrations together. Just take a break and go abstract for awhile"
Made my day.

Senior Year sucks.
There's that air where you can't help but stare.. talk in low voices because feel everything's going to fall by chance; nothing's going to work out your way, things are are going to happen unexpectantly and you feel helpless because you know that right now you have no control of your own life. You've done everything you could during these four years, and now you just have to
"Wait and see"
And it's scary.

I GOT MY LICENSE!!!!
aha, i was so excited i hugged and kissed my exam guy (no, on the cheek)
and i kept jumping up and down with a huge smile on my face. I don't
think i ever jumped that high before..it must have been 3 feet :-O
but then later the picture guy gave me his number. His name was Bob.
My mom was cracking up.
We left the center after it was done and complete, and I saw my
previous exam guy while he was taking a test, he waved me a congrads
for passing this time
Wow, today is now such a good day. :)

I just came back from a People to People Student Ambassador meeting to explore the Mediterranean. This has been my life dream as an art history geek because I am going to Italy
I am going to Florence kids. THE FLORENCE. THE Florence of 500 years ago. The same Florence where the Renaissance sparked. The same Florence that I wrote about as my 2nd marking period term paper for European History. I am going to see Michelangelo's David in the full nude. The perfect man. By myself, one can only imagine how much fun I'm going to have with that. I am going to go to the Sistine Chapel of the Vatican to enjoy feverish chills that run up my spine and make the hairs stand up on my neck because of pure adrenaline and excitement. It's walking into my Art History text and just PHYSICALLY being there. THE Sistine Chapel where Michelangelo painted the Creation upside down while paint dripped into his eyes 500 years ago. I am going to St. Peter's Basilica from Angels and Demons to walk upon the modern sparkling floors and gaze up at the skeleton like ceiling; all the while wondering some hundreds of feet below my own feet lay the body of St. Peter who will open the gate for me someday to heaven.
I WILL learn from a Florentine artist. I will work art with him. This is exciting because I am striving to be an art major in college. I will bring that piece of art home with me and lock it up in my Portfolio. And I will write a paper when I submit that same Portfolio to Art colleges and write, "This piece was drawn by me, while I was in Florence Italy, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance". I am excited to submit that.
I AM excited to see the Colosseum. I WILL walk upon the dusty and rocky ground where Gladiators once sprayed blood upon each other to the sounds of screams of 50,000 roman men and women, the spectators enjoying the sight of Death upon the sand of the Colosseum floor. I WILL make Authentic Italian food and AUTHENTIC Pizza
I WILL enjoy walking through the Roman Forum, the same path that Julius Caesar once tread, the SAME dust collecting upon my bare feet as I absorb the spectacle in my memory. I will remember the story and the romance of Julius and Cleopatra of whom I am convinced I played the part of in my former life
I will see TUSCANY and I will have some Wine and enjoy it. I will enjoy the peace and patience of the people I have never known in my life
I am going to SWIM in the MEDITERRANEAN Sea, the same Sea that has been hypothesized to submerge the Island of Atlantis. I will bathe in the current of History on that day and I won't leave until nightfall
I AM going to see Madrid, the capital of Spain. I will learn to dance and dance with boys with Spanish fever. I will VENTURE BARCELONA and glance at timeworn architecture and play with the Spanish mimes. We'll have fun with pictures. I will stuff myself continiously with Spanish food and go home a couple of pounds heavier. I WILL venture the French South and SEE Nice. I will enjoy Wine country in France and meet Frenchmen and women.
I'll be staying at MONACO, the island in the Middle of the opening to the Mediterranean Sea. I will learn more about it because I have never known of it.
Every night I will sleep in Egyptian Cotton sheets while watching the sun fall below the horizon with pink and red hues as my pale white fabric curtains blow with the Eastern Winds of the Mediterranean and Egypt.I will let my eyes slowly close with its tranquil music singing in my ears. All this next June until I come back home to the U.S.
I will be gone for Twenty Days.

Wow
I played a hardcore 7 and a half hours of Final Fantasy VII this morning. On my Ass. I started playing from my saved game from Sixth grade.It took me a good 5 year epiphany to realize there was another way out of the place where back in Sixth grade I thought I was eternally stuck
Great game. I can't wait for Advent Children
